Blogophilia Week 7.14 – Writer’s Choice Week!!

This is Ecrits Blogophilia Week 7 of our 14th year!
Woop, Woop! Enjoy the freedom – YOU choose a topic and a hard & easy bonus prompt – because it’s Writer’s Choice Week!

I think there’s something you should know
I think it’s time I told you so
There’s something deep inside of me
There’s someone else I’ve got to be
Take back your picture in a frame
Take back your singing in the rain
I just hope you understand
Sometimes the clothes do not make the man

All we have to do now
Is take these lies and make them true somehow
All we have to see
Is that I don’t belong to you
And you don’t belong to me yea yea
Freedom
Freedom
Freedom
You’ve gotta give for what you take
Freedom
Freedom
Freedom

~~CONGRATULATIONS TO OUR WEEK 6.14 JACKET WINNER~~

Week 6.14 Jacket Winner

May is on the horizon, and the Kentucky Derby is this Saturday! Congratulations to Dia Jade, who once again races across the finish line to claim the jacket another week in Blogophilia! But Irene Melgoza is gaining on her, chomping at the bit and only one point away from snagging the coveted leather! Lika Saliscente-Phipps is dreaming of her own successful run for the roses this week! Christopher Mitchell is lining up to make big moves on the racetrack, even though he just got done with a big move of his own! Lisa Conrad and Stormy Gail Dormire are digging their heels in, sweet talking to their horses to go faster! A HUGE welcome back to our writers Brian Dewald, Dave Coon (Nissmech/blue man) and Rutger Siskens (Ruggi)!!! It was a joy to read your work again. As we welcome May and warm weather with open arms, we wonder which horse will win the Kentucky Derby … who will wear the jacket next week?

Last week’s topic was submitted by Craig Fallon!!
Everyone could hear the REM music blasting “It’s the End of the World as we Know It,” but they didn’t catch Craig sprinting in the opposite direction to avoid suspicions! His stealthy speed is rewarded with the entire cache of 6 points!

Last week’s bonus suggestions were provided by David Schrader and Christopher Mitchell!! They each receive 2 points for their contributions!!

Last week’s picture was submitted by Lika Saliscente-Phipps!!
You probably couldn’t see her securely tucked away in her fallout shelter, but there was our very own Lika cooking up some delicious rations for the bomb raid refugees! She eludes everyone’s pointing fingers, and takes home a whooping 6 points!

Marvin’s secret picture bonus criteria was “KABOOM!!”
Well now looky at that, Marvin finally got his Earth-shattering KABOOM! Christopher Mitchell, Irene Melgoza, Lika Saliscente-Phipps and Lisa Conrad predicted this explosion, taking cover from the alien bombs raining down! They each scoop up a souvenir piece of shrapnel worth 2 points!

Now, isn’t that lovely??
