Blogophilia Week 6.14 – Til the World Ends

This is Ecrits Blogophilia Week 6 of our 14th year!

That’s great! It starts with an earthquake
Birds and snakes, an aeroplane
and Lenny Bruce is not afraid

Eye of a hurricane, listen to yourself churn
World serves its own needs, don’t mis-serve your own needs
Speed it up a notch, speed, grunt, no strength
The ladder starts to clatter with fear of height, down height
Wire in a fire, representing seven games
In a government for hire and a combat site
Left of west and coming in a hurry
With the furies breathing down your neck

It’s the end of the world as we know it
It’s the end of the world as we know it
It’s the end of the world as we know it, and I feel fine…

Week 5.14 Jacket Winner

Spring break is over, but Cinco de Mayo is on the horizon and Dia could look good in leather sipping on Margaritas. Congrats to Dia Jade, as she holds onto the leather jacket for yet another week in Blogophilia! Irene Melgoza has used her guessing skills to move closer to the coveted jacket! Stormy Gail Dormire is looking to get back into the mix, while Christine Wichman and Lisa Conrad are savoring 1800 and noshing on nachos to find the right guesses to propel them to the lead! All the Earthlings are waiting to find out … who will wear the jacket next week?

Last week’s topic was submitted by Irene Melgoza!!
Dia Jade knew Irene was ready for a road trip and they both drove off with 4 points!!

Last week’s bonus suggestions were provided by Dahlia Ramone and Rebecca S. Revels! They each receive 2 points for their contributions!!

Last week’s picture was submitted by Tyler Myrth!!
Lika Saliscente-Phipps and Irene Melgoza both have seen Tyler trying to fit square pegs into round holes. All 3 of them hammered out 3 points each.

Marvin’s secret picture bonus criteria was “Square Peg!!”
Christopher Mitchell, Colleen Keller Breuning, and Lisa Conrad all knew that brick would never fit in that hole and earned a solid 3 points each.

Now, isn’t that lovely??

PLEASE point out or highlight the bonuses within your blog content. It is so easy for us Martians to miss it completely!! And believe you us, we have missed these quite a few times!

Blogs must be submitted on or before Midnight (EST), Saturday, April 24 2021. Please continue to post links to your blogs on the Martien Ecrits Facebook page and/or the group Ecrits Blogophilia page, whichever site you are choosing to blog. It’s easier for us to track notifications on Facebook and helps us ensure we don’t miss your blog, whether they are on WordPress, Blogger, Heyspace, Facebook, etc. You may also post your blog link in the WordPress comment section below.

**THE GUESSING GAME**Who and What do you guess on????
Guess who submitted the TOPIC – one guess permitted!
Guess who submitted the PICTURE – one guess permitted!!
The SECRET PICTURE WORD/PHRASE!! 10 guesses permitted!! PICTURE PHRASE GUESSES CAN BE ANYTHING AT ALL, but remember you are limited to only TEN picture phrases guesses!!

    Morning 🙂 Congrats Dia ❤

  2. Congrats, Dia. Hearkening back to the 40Watt Club circa 1982? I can go for that.

  3. likamarie says:

Congrats to Dia & mornin’ Marvin Martian! Another good week!

  4. Congratulations to Dia.. And good morning to all. I’ve been debating for several weeks now whether to stay or leave blogophilia. I really like you all. And have enjoyed these past nine years. But if I’m writing and no one out there sees it, then it’s time to contribute somewhere that my work is wanted. My illness really puts a strain on my time and concentration and the disappointment of my last few posts has taken its toll. I will pray for a decision but if you do not see my blog this week, I thank you for all the years we’ve shared. Stormy

  5. Dia Jae says:

    Have a great Sunday

  7. Congrats Dia! Happy writing folks and Hey Marvin what about the song “The End” by the Doors? That one is fun for theme too.
