Blogophilia Week 50.14 – Stormy Weather Ahead

This is Ecrits Blogophilia Week 50 of our 14th year! We are only a few weeks away from the start of YEAR 15!

Reminder: Please send in some new creative prompts for our Weekly Challenges! We are having to go way back into the archives in order to find different writers’ ideas to feature. Normally we only use one topic/pic and a max of 2 bonuses per writer in a season. But since we’re not awarding points, we may have to start using multiples from writers to keep the challenges fresh. If you have not sent Marvin any topics, bonuses or photos in the last 3 months, please send some to me via DM. And remember to send only royalty-free or original photos that do not violate copyright rules. Thanks, Earthlings!

Hope you’re feeling better now
Hope you got my letter, how?
Is my stormy weather now
gonna change?

Can I be like everyone?
Pretending that there’s nothing wrong?
Remember when we walked upon
clouds that never rain?

And I need it more than love
And I love it more than life
And I want those stars above to shine this night

Baby, ever wondered why?
I could make you laugh and cry?
Eclipsing all your summer skies
some things never change

Uh oh, looks like stormy weather is brewing, as it is almost summer! Hope everyone has stayed safe from the Canadian wildfire smoke. Get those pens out and those fingers typing – we can’t wait to see what you come up with!

Last week’s topic “Time Traveling” was submitted by Lika Saliscente-Phipps! We thank you for your that amazing topic which inspired lots of participation and some wonderful writes!

Last week’s bonus prompts were submitted by Michelle Marko King and Christine Wichman! Thank you so much for your contributions!

Last week’s picture was submitted by Rebecca Grusendorf! That was such a cosmic picture to complement the topic. Thank you, Earthling!

Hard Bonus: Use an onomatopoeia (a word that sounds like the noise it describes)

Easy Bonus: Incorporate the word plague

Blogs should be submitted on or before Midnight (EST), Saturday, June 17, 2023 at 11 EST!! Please TAG Martien Ecrits by including his name within your blog content. In doing so, your blog will show up on his timeline. You may also post your blog link in the comment section below and/or post your blog link on the group Ecrits Blogophilia page.

There are no longer any guesses for the topic, bonus prompts or picture submissions, nor points awarded for any of these. As stated in our relaunch blog, the Blogophilia challenge has eliminated point scoring, tallying, tracking and awarding jackets. We have moved to a kinder, gentler blogging group that is no longer a competition based on points. Instead, we aim to be inclusive, collaborative and encouraging of writers!!

So what are you waiting for? Start Writing!!!
