Blogophilia Week 26.17 – Christmas Comforts

Greetings, Dear Blogophilians! Welcome to Week 26 of Year 17!

What a week we have in store!!! Today we welcome Winter, the final season of the year. (It’s also the final week of Season 2 in Year 17 – time is flying!) We wish you a Merry Christmas and a Happy Hannukah to all who celebrate!

This week is the pinnacle of the whirlwind holiday season. It’s also a time where we seek the wonderful comforts of the holidays we celebrate – family, good food, celebrating, special gifts that have meaning, our pets, snuggling by the fire, drinking a hot cup of coffee or tea, toasting to good health, enjoying a seasonal cocktail, listening to beautiful Christmas carols, the list is endless!! So – what brings you comfort during your holiday season? What makes it special – what gifts do you enjoy giving or receiving? There is so much to be thankful for – what are YOU thankful for?

As always, we at the Marvin House are THANKFUL FOR YOU! YOU are the reason we have kept on blogging for over 17 years. Even when are some weeks when only a few of you writing – we understand! But your friendship and camaraderie always inspires us to keep on going. We always look forward to your wonderful writes – please feel free to jump back in at any time. Hope you all had a fantastic Thanksgiving celebration this past week – and are slowly coming out of your food/turkey comas, HA! We had some wonderful participation last week, and we at The Marvin House enjoyed reading about all aspects of your Thanksgiving celebrations and gratitudes.

This year has certainly flown by at “the speed of light,” hasn’t it? And that is the topic we are exploring this week. What in your life seems to move at the speed of light, or vice versa (slow as molasses perhaps)? Maybe there is something you want to get past quickly – or that you wish to slow down and savor. Blogophilia Week 22.17 – Give Thanks!

Greetings, Dear Blogophilians! Welcome to Week 22 of Year 17!

Yahoo! It’s Thanksgiving Week in the US! This week many of you will gather together with family, friends, neighbors, coworkers or all of the above to celebrate the holiday. Thanksgiving is a time to think about our blessings, and give thanks for the special people and things in your life. And of course, for most it means gathering to celebrate with a Thanksgiving feast! It could be the “traditional” meal of turkey, stuffing, potatoes and gravy – or something completely different. (This alien loves hearing about the different meals you humans favor).

This alien is eternally thankful for the friendship and camaraderie of all the wonderful writers who have participated over the years. You are all special and dear to us – and warm our cold alien hearts, HA!! So what do you give thanks for? How do you plan to celebrate?
